The Cliff 8 showing area is underlain by Upper Triassic Stuhini Group rocks, which have been intruded by Late Triassic to Early Jurassic monzonitic intrusions, Eocene granitic dikes, sills and stocks and Miocene basaltic and rhyolitic dikes.

Rusty red brown medium volcanic rock containing a trace of molybdenite assayed 0.57 per cent molybdenum (Sample 1831, Assessment Report 19205).

The Cliff 1 to 9 claims were staked in 1988. Prospecting and sampling programs were carried out by Corona Corporation in 1988 with follow-up work in 1989. In 1990, a total of 21 rock, 11 heavy mineral, 81 soil and 5 silt samples were collected by Braiden Resources during the nine day sampling program on the Cliff 1 to 9 claims.
